The Check-In Luggage

A scattering of abandoned goals
A sight of expectations unmet
Lying pieces of broken promises
Loud scars of violent words
Heaps of painful memories
Long nights of vanishing hopes
Your eyes betray what you don’t anon
You alone no more can push this cart
You might have a smile as a carry-on
But you are checking in a heavy heart
